Taking Mum flying post ppl
03 Nov 2006The third day of absolutely perfect flying conditions, and I couldn’t resist going up for a flight, so I phoned up to see if the aircraft was free, and it was so got it booked in.
My Mum had been a little nervous about going up with me, but given the weather was so good today, I managed to convince to come along.
We took off and then flew down towards the South East (much the same as what I did with my dad on his first flight), flew out to Torcross, and then followed the coast round back to Plymouth, I did an overhead join to runway 13, and narrowly slotted in behind a solo student onto downwind, orbited at the end for separation, as he was still pretty close, then came into land nice and smoothly.
