School friend with an FAA licence post ppl
02 Oct 2009One of my friends from school who’d moved over to America and got his FAA PPL over there, came back over to the UK for a few weeks, so I took him up for a quick local flight as he wanted to see the differences between flying in the US & UK.
I had the PA28 booked, so his Dad came up as well and sat in the back. We did a couple of circuits too as well. The entire flight was just so smooth, no turbulence at all for the entire flight, and all the landings were pretty perfect. After landing, we also nipped up into the tower to have a look in up there. It was the first time I’d actually been up there as well, and it was quite an impressive view.
It was an interesting flight as It was the first time I’d flown with another qualified pilot, who wasn’t an instructor.
